Location: East Wenatchee, WA | I emailed the guy to post the correct info. He hasn't responded yet, but I had the same concerns and I am not up to speed. My first tip off was the tuners looked like cheap knock-offs, and the overall looks just seemed a bit cheaper. Thanks for confirming that. |

Location: Cleveland, Ohio | That's what tipped me off too. I have been back and forth with this guy. First he says the serial number is 6572300. Then I sent him a link to the 1992 Collectors picture from the Ovation website. His response was:
"Thanks! That looks just like my guitar except for the color so I think it must be a Collector's Series. According to this site, the Honeyburst color was made in 1992." |

Now I know why I don't get any emails. :D
It is a nice looking Celebrity. Good starter guitar, for less $$$$. |

Location: East Wenatchee, WA | Well,
One thing for sure. The guy may be misinformed, but he seems to be honest. Just wrote me an email from my question yesterday and said "alas he was mistaken". That some guys on the 'OFC' set him straight, so he was trying to make sure everyone knew exactly what it was. |

Location: SoCal | I found the seller to be very polite. I did not mention the 'OFC'.
The seller wrote back, "Thank you very much for the information. I will update my ad accordingly. Would you be so kind as to point me at an online reference..."
The information that I provided were the attributes that would be found on the '92 Collector's and on US made Ovations.
So where do I point them so they can obtain information on the Imports? |
