All that matters is the last 5 minutes of an auction. How many "Watchers" and viewings are there on the instrument?
What I have learned on auctions is to start low, set your reserve, go for 7-10 days and watch for any questions you can answer. Second attempts with a lowered reserve do suprisingly well. |

Location: Capital District, NY, USA Minor Outlying Islands | MWoody is on the mark. It's the last moments that count. My philosopy is to just let the market decide and set no reserve. But, if you want to ensure that you get a minimum price, set that as your reserve. But no matter what set a low starting bid. You could start at $10.00 and you'll get a lot more action at the end. The next time you put it up, if it doesn't meet the reserve you'll get alot more attention, because people know you've lowered your reserve. My feeling is the market is smarter than I am at setting prices. |

Location: Upper Left USA | I believe that there is a dedicated percentage of the World's population that have a handful of saved searches they pull up religiously. Post it and they will look. I would also caution any New-bayers to set a reserve until you are really comfortable with the market.
