Even if Al can't sell a darn thing you'll get some interesting conversations trying to explain what an Ovation is!
At least six of those are tripping my trigger. Only got one bullet though. And Andy makes me keep it in my pocket, buttoned down. For now! |

| I just rebuild old servers w/smp(multiple processors)and harddrives that back up and repair in the background, that have redundant power supplys etc.. use linux or bsd almost exclusively as an OS....and voila!!! as MS crumbles and gets repatched sometimes on a daily basis, all 5 of the computers networked in my home keep humming happily along.
sorry to hear about your computer troubles tho Al.
would love to see pics of the purple tribal.
God Bless,
Glenn |

Al, I didn't know Dave crashes, too. I hope he doesn't hurt himself. Reminds me of the retort by some exec at GM to Bill Gates. One of the comments was that if cars were built like computers, they'd crash for no reason and we just would turn them off and restart them. |

Location: Tennessee | Yeah, and if you but anything other than Microsoft Gas in the car, it would suddenly and inexplicably stall and you would have to take everything completely off the car, and then rebuild the car and put the engine, transmission, ignition, electrical system, brakes and steering etc. in one by one. Then it would run OK again for a while. And the good news? This would happen only about every six months. An we would think that it was totally normal. |

If Microsoft Built Cars II
At a recent computer expo (COMDEX), Bill Gates reportedly compared The computer industry with the auto industry and stated: "If GM had kept up with technology like the computer industry has, we would all be driving twenty-five dollar cars that got 1000 miles to the gallon."
In response to Bill's comments, General Motors issued a press release stating: if GM had developed technology like Microsoft, we would all be driving cars with the following characteristics:
1. For no reason whatsoever your car would crash twice a day.
2. Every time they painted the lines on the road you would have to buy a new car.
3. Occasionally, executing a maneuver such as a left turn, would cause your car to shut down and refuse to restart, in which case you would have to re-install the engine.
4. Macintosh would make a car that was powered by the sun, was reliable, five times as fast, and twice as easy to drive, but would only run on five percent of the roads.
5. New seats would force everyone to have the same size butt.
6. Occasionally for no reason whatsoever, your car would lock you out and refuse to let you in until you simultaneously lifted the door handle, turned the key, and grabbed hold of the radio antenna.
7. GM would require all car buyers to also purchase a deluxe set of Rand McNally road maps (now a GM subsidiary), even though they neither need them nor want them. Attempting to delete this option would immediately cause the car''s performance to diminish by 50 percent or more. Moreover, GM would become a target for investigation by the Justice Dept.
8. Every time GM introduced a new model, car buyers would have to learn how to drive all over again because none of the controls would operate in the same manner as the old car.
9. You''d press the "start" button to shut off the engine.
At a recent computer expo (COMDEX), Bill Gates reportedly compared the computer industry with the auto industry and stated “If GM had kept up with technology like the computer industry has, we would all be driving twenty-five dollar cars that got 1000 miles per gallon.” Recently General Motors addressed this comment by releasing the statement “Yes, but would you want your car to crash twice a day?”
IF MICROSOFT BUILT CARS II
1. Every time they repainted the lines on the road you would have to buy a new car.
2. Occasionally your car would die on the freeway for no reason, and you would just accept this, restart and drive on.
3. Occasionally, executing a maneuver would cause your car to stop. For some strange reason, you would accept this too.
4. You could only have one person in the car at a time, unless you bought “Car95” or “CarNT”. But, then you would have to buy more seats.
5. Macintosh would make a car that was powered by the sun, was reliable, ran five times as fast, twice as easy to drive - but would only run on 5 percent of the roads.
6. The Macintosh car owners would get expensive Microsoft upgrades to their cars, which would make their cars run much slower.
7. The oil, gas and alternator warning lights would be replaced by a single “general car default” warning light.
8. New seats would force everyone to have the same size butt.
9. The airbag system would say “Are you sure?” before going off.
10. If you were involved in a crash, you would have no idea what happened. |

I gotta stop writing before I read the whole post. What I should have said is, "Any idea when you might have pics ready?" |

Has anyone ever seen Al Pepiak and Superman in the same room, at the same time?
Or for that matter, the orange Teletubby? |

I dont think it would be possible as Al's not superman. I believe this to be true from what I can see he is not a regular super hero type guy so thats why they call him Super A
