Who wants the pearloid (crappy lookin ass-plastic) buttons off of my Schallers?
Just the buttons, not the machines. for the life off me I couldn't understand why they would ruin such a beautiful instrument as my 1763 with them, so I replaced them with ebony.
Mmmm Ebony...
Rememer, opinions are like farts, everybody has them and no one thinks theirs stinks. Also there's no accounting for taste, good or bad. |

I've seen pics of the pearloid knobs, (Tony's). I think they would look outstanding on any guitar, especially the darker finishes.
I have ebony on my 97 Collectors but pearliod would look nice too. |

If you're giving them away, I would be happy to take them. |

I have pearloids on my 1778-4 and appreciate the look and the way they don't show finger prints.
I will have to try the Ebony on something.
Koa sounds real nice too! |

They're yours, but you'd better not make anything look stupid with them OK? :D :p |

But next time you take pictures of ebony tuning keys, try not to do it against a black background.
Just a thought. :) |

I will put them on my "74" Custom Balladeer 1112-1 which was the first Ovation I owned. The logo stamp on the headstock has faded and the walnut neck has darked to a sweet hue. There are scratches on the original chrome ones and I think the Gold and Pearloid will go well. The thought of Ebony buttons sounds like a good one too.
This guitar is the lightest, clearest O I have and just amazes me at how it has stood up and can measure against other guitars to this day.
It is the same model as this Ebay Offering:

I do have a "vintage" Lawrence sound hole pickup complete with the "B" string acceleration option though. |

Location: closely held secret | Mike, the reason I asked is because the 1112 on ebay appears to have a 1/4" jack on the back. |
