Serial number indicates this was manufactured in 1979 for Kaman's extended celebration of Ovation's 10th anniversary. I bought this guitar new in Dec. 1980 as a Christmas gift for myself. Played and gigged with it through college. It has rarely been out of it's case in over 10 years. Has that great, loud, boomy Ovation sound. Has one small battle scar earned late one night in a buddy's dorm room. It's purely a cosmetic nick and very small. Pics available in members gallery. Don't really want to sell, but hard times are all around us.
Thought I'd give OFC members first crack if anyone's interested. I paid $800.00 in 1980 and similar ones sell in that ballpark lately. Will consider any reasonable offer. Drop me a note if interested. Thanks, Matthew |
