Location: Hot Springs, S.D. | Where you going? Isn't it fairly humid in Hartford right now? If it isn't, just wait a day or two. I've seen it go from 40% humidity to 90% in one day in Connecticut. I doubt going into a high humidity area will harm your guitar at all. |

Location: Hot Springs, S.D. | Not a problem at all then, in my opinion. It will be humid when you leave, it will be humid everywhere you're going, and the guitar will probably be loving it. |

Location: South of most, North of few | Wouldn't worry about it, although an Adamas would be a better choice. Your guitar may like getting a dose of "southern" humidity. Besides, everywhere down here is air conditioned, so there's not a problem unless you plan on sleeping under the stars. The mosquitoes will carry you away long before your guitar will know what happened. |

I should arrive in NOLA to visit friends then celibrate my birthday. I'm sure play somewhere there

As far as I know, High Humidity won't really hurt your guitar.
I might cause a shift in the tuning, or make it sound a little dull...
But it shouldn't hurt anything.
You are only passing-thru, right?

Sounds like a great trip. New Orleans is a much better place to be than Bakersfield, even with all the humidity. |

Do some buskin' in Jackson Square and then hit the Jackson Brewery just around da corner. This all, of course, is after you've had some Cafe Du Monde chicory coffee and beignets for a pre-buskin' breakfast! 
As to your gits, I would be more concerned 'bout the A/C than ambient temp and humidity. And as for your comfort... Steve is right! ;) |

Location: Alagoas, Brazil | I have high humidity here (right now 81º, 74% humidity, it'll probably reach 100% in the afternoon then it will rain). Never had any problem with any guitar.
Brazilian musicians were appaled when they started going to the US to play Bossa Nova in the 60's because their beloved guitars would crack on landing. The tops were too thin and frail to withstand the low humidity rates.
Those sturdy Ovations are another story, though.

Last time I had a round trip Greyhound ticket
it so bad I bought a train ticket back.
