Location: Pennsylvania | Hello everyone! It's a pleasure to be a part of this website.
My reason for joining is a recent Ovation i purchased. I got my hands on an Adamas Guitar. It's one with the graphite top, and the elaborate woodwork carved on the top of the headstock.
I've used the very helpful serial number guides included in this website, but was still slightly confused, and wanted to confirm what I thought was factual.
The Adamas I have has the following inside:
Sticker Ink (brown) says Adamas by Ovation, then below that Made in New Hartford, Connecticut, U.S.A.
The sticker has a written in Serial Number, that is 1587-5 on the first line, than 86 on the second line.
Using the websites tools, I identified the 1587 as the model number, and the 5 being the color (it is black). A brochure included in the case included a serial number in the 11### and a purchase date of 4/1996, So I presume this to be an Adamas from 1996.
I'd love to post pictures once I get a hold of my SD card. I am very curious on what the 86 is in reference too. |

And welcome, that's a nice guitar - we love pictures. |

Here's one picture I found on my computer of the guitar, still waiting for my SD card to come around. My apologizes that it's not high quality.
