Location: Budd Lake, NJ | We've got a little over a foot, having missed out on the big blast last weekend. But, the drifting has made accumulations quite a bit deeper here and there. Still, not complaining--main roads were just passable when I crawled home from work yesterday afternoon (an hour to go about 20 miles, without a plow in sight on the main highway I need to take, though.)
Hope everyone else is doing o.k......

But... at least we are dug out and melting. |

Living in a mountain town with only about 2% of population having off-street parking, it's posed quite a challenge. Fortunately, I'm among the 2% with a garage in which to park. It will be another day or two before businesses will be fully back up and operational. |

Location: Reisterstown, Maryland | Here in Md just northeast of Baltimore City it's bad. Having just had back surgery, I can't shovel all this lovely white stuff and I feel bad for my SO. In the past week we have had almost 50 inches, I'll never see this again in my lifetime. As beautiful as it was/is, it was/is a bit scarey.

Sorry, folks. Wish we had some snow. Supposed to be 58 degrees this weekend and my shoulder hurts too much to play golf. |

Location: Tennessee | I feel for you. Sort of. But the lovely Kimby-D and I had a wonderful dinner sitting outside in a sidewalk cafe this evening, here in the gaslamp area of San Diego. We didn't even need coats. But we did have rain, heavy at times, for a couple of days earlier this week. So all of you back east: Batten down the hatches, there's more on the way! |

Location: Hot Springs, S.D. | One winter, oh maybe 7 or 8 years ago, we had a lot of snow in Connecticut. No, let me rephrase that, we had even MORE snow than usual. I was driving by a house on the way to work when I saw a set of legs with boots on, and just the blade and about a foot of the handle of a snow shovel sticking up out of a snowbank. They used a pair of sweatpants and must've had a bendable wire in with the stuffing because it looked like the "guy" was kicking. Very realistic looking and pretty funny. |
