Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | All you folks in and around the mid-Atlantic storm area (Cliff, Al, Mike, etc.), looks like a good weekend to stay home, light a fire, pour a drink, and strum some strings. Don't bother shoveling until the storm passes. Here in Colorado, I rode a motorcycle to work today and my buddies and I have a ride planned tomorrow. I guess somebody has to have clear and dry weather. |

I'm on the northern edge of the storm though so only expecting 6 inches. A drop in the pan compared to our brothers and sisters south of me.
Stay safe folks! |

Seems to me that we had bigger storms in the 60's and 70's...
And we didn't complain about them nearly as much. :p
I hope y'all take this opportunity to relax and take it easy.
I'm further north than all y'all and I am mad at myself that I didn't take a guitar outside today.

Oh Spring you are so welcome, I can't wait to put my garden furniture out again and enjoy some strummin in the sun with some steaks on the Weber and a Beer infront of me. |

Naw... Just meant that the school bus didn't run.
If you lived within a mile of school they expected you to walk!

Still absolutely beautiful. And I don't have to wear a sweater vest. |

I AM looking forward however to taking these grandchildren home in another six weeks though. Then I plan on heading to the North Carolina beach front for a much needed vacation in May. The guitar WILL be there. |

Big secret to prevent heart attack.
How slow can you go when shovelling snow.

The kids in my neighborhood refuse to move from in front of their Wii or Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 or Japanese Anime-fest or whatever it is that keeps them cooped up inside all day. The first, last and only time I asked a neighbor's kid if he wanted to earn some cash by shoveling my drive he told me, "Not really. If I did it, you'd have to pay me like $25, because that's what my mom gives me for an allowance and I don't even have to do any work."
That was several years ago. He was nine. Maybe his attitude has changed, but I doubt it. His parents driveway doesn't get shoveled, either. |

If things keep going the way they are, there will probably be some of those adults looking for shoveling jobs here in Sparkle City, too. :(
My snowblower died a couple of (or maybe three) years ago. I noticed the guy next door, who is in his sixties and had gone through three major surgeries that year, was still shoveling his driveway by hand. I figured if he could do it, there was no reason for me to be lazy. So, I started shoveling. Good exercise. Like has been said, go slow and it's all good. I also fired my lawn guy that spring. He only ever showed up when he needed money, and then had a tendency to bill me for weeks he never did any work. I went back to mowing my own yard. Gets me out of the house (and out of housework, but don't tell my wife...heh). |

Or a pensioner, four driveways gets me a set of Elixir Lights 11152 Nanowebs for my 12 string. Plus the exercise eliminates the health club fees.
Edited.
PS. You beat me Cruster, I type so slow. Of course you guys don't read too fast. |
