Location: Edmonton, Alberta | I am looking at getting into a nice archtop and have to part with some guitars to do so. I have a Adamas 1591 BCB that I have had for a few years. I bought it used for about $1000. Other than a brochure I have never seen any other information on that model nor have I ever seen one for sale. I would appreciate a idea of what price range I should be asking for it. Please pm me at om42 at shaw dot ca with any advice you can give.
Thanks in advance,
Rod |

Location: SoCal | Welcome back Rod,
I remember when you purchased your Adamas III 1591 BCB.
Is this your local for-sale-ad. It\'s been running up in Alberta since 15-Dec-09. The asking price is $1,400.00.
Is the $1400 asking price in that for-sale-ad too high?... maybe, almost a month and it hasn't sold.
Was the $1k you paid a decent price?... probably at the time it was.
Has you guitar appreciated in value?... the current Economy has adversely affected values and has made it a buyer's market.
If you have to sell it now, I'd list it for $1400/OBO, be patient and take what you can get. |

Location: Upper Left USA | I agree with what Noah said. I'd also run it through Ebay with a reserve and see what goes.
I think we have started to climb out of the Low selling market. |

Location: Edmonton, Alberta | Thanks for the advice Woody. I've never bought or sold anything on ebay before - no feedback is supposed to be bad - but everyone has to start somewhere. I will have to do a little research as to what would be involved.

Location: Upper Left USA | The product does the talking in almost every auction. Must have:
- really clear photos
- valid description, as in don't make anything up if'n it ain't so because the mob will pick up on it.
- accurate shipping info and willingness to ship to us foriegners or not.
- Payment Method, Paypal is easy to do but the fees and such may seem objectionable to some. Postal Money Orders are secure but may take more time than most buyers like.
Find an Ebayer that would sell it for you just so they can play this hard to find Adamas!
 |
