Location: Blue Ridge Mountains | I missed the Pacemaker that I sold last fall to a fellow in Finland...but I was hoping to eventually find an all original 1615-1...then, the week before Christmas I got my chance. A session musician in Nashville decided to let this one go and I was fortunate enough to grab it at an unbelievable price. He even had a new set of strings and new battery installed. Because the severe winter weather, we waited to ship it until Monday. It arrived today in MINT ORIGINAL condition! The entire guitar looks like it came from the factory yesterday. Action, sound, finish, electronics, everything is as new as it gets for a 29 year old. I can't thank Curt enough for a first class transaction and SWMBO for allowing one more 12 string back into the house. I will take better pictures when we have sun and warmth again (it's 15 outside right now: 8 inches of snow with 4 to 8 more on the way tomorrow)...maybe spring...
Here are several pic's:
and the album on ning...
1981 1615-1 Pacemaker 12
Enjoy! |

We're expecting some snow tomorrow. This had been a cold winter for a lot of people.
BTW; If I'd known that beauty was running 40 eastbound I would have tried to high-jack the truck. :D |

The U681 is one that being a 12 fret player for so many years I would certainly love...I'm in the same boat there: where to find one for sale...
This Pacemaker is so fine...it (as most do) has a bell like sound; man, do I love 'em...my faithful companion for many many years...one truly great guitar!
The case had a bunch of funky bumper stickers on it: gone now...but at one point in its life it was flown and the owner used duct tape to keep the latches closed during the flight...now it has the petrified residue left...anybody know how or what to use to remove it? Besides a sander...lol |

| Interesting that of the 5 ute 12s two of them are here in London. You boys let them slip right through your fingers.
They are the loudest guitars I ever heard. |

Try this if the other suggestions don't work out.
"Tape Off" by Home Care. In most hardware stores.
$3.79 for 250 milli litre clear plastic bottle here in Canada.

It is Citrus-based I think ...

I drooled, but had to pass. |

Can't go wrong if you snag that one!
Probably never be another one made or if so it will cost way more money. |

Besides a sander...lol [/QB] Get a little bottle of "Goof-Off" at the hardware store. We use it to remove stickers, tape residue, scuff marks & all sorts of crap in our rental houses. Cheap, easy to find & works great. We buy it by the gallon. WD-40 might work too. In fact, if you have some in stock (doesn't everybody?) you might try that first. |
