What other guitar mags do you folks like or dislike and why? |

| I subscribed to Guitar Player in the late 70s and early 80s, but lost interest when popular music changed and I didn't. I was one of the initial subscribers to Acoustic Guitar, but I let it lapse and renew every now and then. I mostly read the ads. Guitar World has never caught my attention.
Just about anything I want to know or see about guitars and guitaring is instantly available on the internet. |

Location: The Great Pacific Northwest | I used to get several guitar magazines, now I just go to Borders or wherever and if there is an interesting article, I buy it. Same with other mags I used to get like for Motorcycles and Photography and Diving. One article of interest every few months is just not worth it. Sometimes better articles in magazines I wouldn't think of... Just easier to pick them up at a bookstore, walmart or wherever... I get most of my useful info online anyway from forums I belong to. |

You live in the big city. I have to walk 20 miles to work, uphill both ways, and I have more Guinea fowl than neighbors. (one of those statements is true BTW).
We don't get out much - a trip to Barnes and Noble is an event! Like grapes, I want any information to be peeled and delivered. |

| After looking over the offerings at a number of large bookstores and music stores, I have settled on Acoustic Guitar as the best of the lot for me.
I am a subscriber (and it is time to renew...again).
Of course, if you are not into acoustic guitar, then one of the others might be a little more interesting. |

Maybe every other year I'll get one or another mag to see if they've invented something new. |

I am reviving your post. Now that NAMM has come and gone I was wondering if anyone saw the magazine "Fingerstyle Guitar" at the show. I subscribed in Dec. last for 2 years and received confirmation from them but have not received a magazine as of yet. Thanks for any info.

You are correct, that was what prompted me to subscribe to Fingerstyle Guitar. I was just wondering if there was any presence at NAMM.
