I hope everyone has a safe and blessed Christmas!

We are having 42 of my inlaws over. My wife is one of ten siblings (and their spouses),20 nieces/nephews (and their spouses), parents, 1 guest, and one poor soul who just got engaged to one of my nieces :) . Busy house today. Here is our menue.

530 hommade ravioli
4 appetizers
fruit tray
vegetable tray
salad (9 head of lettuce)
bread
13 bottles of wine
60 rolls
desterts
punch
85-90 cups of coffee

3 Ovations, 2 Alverez, 1 Rokkomann, 2 Rainsong, and a Tacoma for songs as the night wears on.

Of course I will have my OFC calendar displayed on the fridge!

My best wishes to you all, and thanks again to Miles and Al for another year of supporting this site.

Rich

What kind of Ravioli? We do Italian for Christmas a lot, too. Thanksgiving is Turkey and dressing, etc., but Christmas is always something else. This year it's filet mignons on the grill, stuffed potatoes, roasted asparagas, fresh baked garlic bread.
And just me on guitar.

Now y'all got me thinking... ouch!
I am planning on going shopping to stock-up, cuz everything will be closed tomorrow.
Now I am trying to decide what would be a nice meal to have for Christmas?
Spiral-cut Honey Ham?
Already cooked Lemon-herb Chicken?
Make-it-myself Pot Roast, (as opposed to the lazy-person 'Banquet-in-a-bag' Pot Roast)?
My Mom is making Meatloaf at her house, two thousand three hundred forty nine miles away.
Maybe I oughta make meatloaf too? Get that long-distance psychic connection going.

Everybody Have a Nice Christmas Meal!

Merry Christmas folks. May the coming year bring you happiness, health, and a room full of guitars you love and can play.

I'm not sure about holiday celebrations--I've got the flu. :( Right after lunch tomorrow I was to visit my lil' folks and see what Santa brought them, and dinner was supposed to be leg of lamb with very dear friends (my guitar student's family)--not sure yet if I'll be well enough to do much of anything.
But, even more important than how I'm feeling or what I could be doing, may there be peace on earth and good will towards men this holiday season.
Merry Christmas,

--Karen

Starting tonight we make the annual trek from one parents house to the next....one day soon they'll have Alzheimers and we can say we were already there.

Merry Christmas and blessings upon Al & Miles for keeping this alive, and everyone else for making it the kind of place it is.

I envy you Twisted...
The extended family of aunts & uncles I grew up with has... well... dwindled.
I married into a big family but they have all moved away.
So, I kinda miss the bedlam, distruction, and mass hysteria.

The same from my family to all yours. This list has been very good to me this year. Extremely informative and entertaining. And while there have been the occasional harsh complaint of an excess of niceness or the occasional trip down a non-Ovation path I find it very hard to be bothered by such things and rather enjoy the variety and tenor that both of those things bring to the forum.

I would also like to thank the faithful and diligent moderators for the thankless service they perform. Without them and their efforts there is no list.

In my short time here I know that there are many fine folks here that I would be proud to call friends and I thank you for all that you freely offer for nothing more than a simple note of thanks.

Happy Holidays all however you choose to celebrate.
