Pardon my newbness here but I seek answers from the loremaster kings of Adamas guitars! Which one is it that Nancy has there? Is it one of the original real deals like #47? |

Lol! I wrote in another post that I just learned the intro to that song, but I was talking about the lead guitar intro, not all that fancy stuff Nancy was doing ... I WISH! I can do that little Spanish flavored thing though. I love that song, and Heart is a VERY cool band. Funny to see the style of clothing, especially on the lead guitar player.
Gorgeous guitar, too. I have a 1978 1687-8 and an 1187-247 re-issue. You can see the photos on my Ning site (link below).

Nancy sure got a great plugged in sound out of those two knobber electronics. I wonder where that guitar is now. |

Location: Budd Lake, NJ | I had never seen "Crazy on You" before this link; I think I'll just put my guitars away now and forget that they even exist. Phil Keaggy didn't make me feel this way, watching Jimmy Page in old concerts didn't, either, but... ssssiiiiggghhh; I have a such long way to go.
So...I think I'll go make a cup of tea, eat a slice of pumpkin-pecan loaf, and then get the Princess out and console myself with the new riffs I figured out for "Silent Night."

Don't suppose anyone knows where number 44 ended up? Beal's probably right and it's probably in a closet somewhere... but whose! I'm admittedly a huge Heart fan, and of course admittedly an Ovation fan! Ovation + Heart = Number 44 so it'd be interesting to know who has it and what their story on it is! |

By the way Beal, I've noted some old ads featuring you and Nancy Wilson. Do you stay in touch with all the celebrities you met before becoming a gas station owner? |

Noted the '87 collector "with many war scars" and lost my mind for a minute there.
OK - being in WA and thinking about the guitar makes perfect sense.
Sorry |

Doubt it will be on the market anytime soon...
Why not custom order one from Al??? |

Location: Bellevue, Washington | I could custom order one... but that's really not where I was headed with this. Sure I'd love to own #44 or one like it along with many folks here, but I'm really more interested in the story if it has a cool story to tell!
Or maybe Nancy still has it, who knows! |

Location: Texas | The original post linked to an excellent clip of a great band! There is an "HQ" version of the same clip that actually does look and sound better HERE.
I've always liked their music and some of their guitars ;) but I have never seen them perform in person. I understand that they still put on a great show, so maybe one of these days…
There's another active thread right now about "creating" new songs or intros by playing other material backwards. I tried to find a clip (and failed,) but I remember seeing the sisters on some interview show where Nancie demonstrated how she came up with part of the intro to (I think) Crazy On You, essentially by playing a Paul Simon song backwards…
…and yeah, it would be cool to track down that guitar. That Adamas, and Heart, belong in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame… |

Check out this other video where she clearly flings off at least one fingerpick and grabs a standard pick from her mic stand. |
