| to spend it only on guitar stuff, what would you buy? I was given $100 at a Christmas party with the instruction to spend it only on guitar stuff. The money came in a cool card that had a guitar playing Santa on it, and the card played "Jingle Bell Rock".
I've decided to spend it this way:
Learn the songs of Jim Croce DVD by Pete Huttlinger (thanks to the recommendation of Mark in Boise)
Learn the songs of John Denver DVD by Pete Huttlinger
A ticket to see Tommy Emmanuel when he comes to a local theater called the Egg.
A new set of strings for Ol' Cherry Top.
and maybe a new strap courtesy of the OFC!
Now, show me your list!

Just received a truly mint Phat modded Boss BD-2 for $95 off eBay. Thanx to Music Mike and others for the recommendations.
If that doesn't count, I'm on the prowl for the Pocket POD, thanx to Paulcc1's inquiry. |

Location: Budd Lake, NJ | Some new strings for the 5-string Steinberger bass... (try walking into your local music store to buy them... )
or
Some kind of small organizational chest-type thing that will fit in a closet for all the guitar "junk"--effects, cords, extension cords, etc.
or
towards a really small amp that a grandma can easily tote and use for nursing home/house church ministry (PM me if you have any suggestions--thanks)

Location: GATLINBURG TENNESSEE :) | I'd buy another two of these Levi Heartwoodes guitar straps. I have the one on the left, and they are awesome. I had to attach a piece of velcro on the underside to keep it from slipping on my silk guitar shirts, but aside from that they're great.

I've had mine for about 6 years now and had no problem yet. Good question though. For the price I would hope thay have used a nice heavy monofilament or wire. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | Huttlinger has a Jim Croce Volume 2 out and it's on my Christmas list along with a Christmas song book. Other than that, I'm getting low on strings and I was just thinking that it's been awhile since I chipped in for the site. |

Witko is once again the voice of (in)sanity. Excellent suggestion but I wouldn't use Christmas gift money....I would just donate because it's the right thing to sometimes do. |

+1 - $ for site support. Just a reminder to us all (me included) this place costs money to keep open....and don't we have fun here?....except for Al & Cliff ;-) |

Location: big island | vince, i had one of those heartwoode straps, like the one in the middle, that i used on my martin guitar. it looked great and was quite comfortable, however, unless i was extra careful, i found it to be harsh on the guitar's finish.

Location: GATLINBURG TENNESSEE :) | I could understand how that could happen ... but since all I own are Ovations, there's no problem there, unless for some reason I decided to lay it accross the top. It's definitely not a strap you would want to sling on and off. That's what the leather ones are for. |

One of these (surprisingly comfortable) merino wool guitar straps.

Tony Redfin, that is what it costs me per month. I like to think of it as an investment in me.
