The UTE was my Christmas/Birthday present from my better half and my mom sprung sounding acoustic amp. BTW., I turned 50 this week, and am having more fun than ever with the guitars. My bro in law had some advice for turning 50.
1. Never pass up the opportunity to pee.
2. Never trust that is is "just a fart"
3. Never waste and erection.

:) :) :)

Congrats and Happy Belated B'day!

Question: At 50 do you still remember what #3 is used for? ;)

A belated Happy 50th and congratulations on the new guitar and amp! Sounds like your wife and mom made it a special one.
Enjoy!

Happy belated birthday, Rich. The Fender acoustasonic amps are very nice, and a great gift for you on your "half a century" birthday!

No comment on your brother in law's 'tips', lol ~ for once, I'm speechless.

;)

Note that gift and self are pretty suggestive...if it's what TJ told me about it's pretty nice!

Man, I just read the first sentence of the original post....got to be more careful with the copy/paste on the edits.

Should read "my mom sprung for a Fender Acoustasonic amp from CL. It is a very nice sounding amp."

Hey its tough when you get old. I have to get Meuti to help me with my English.

Say Twist, my recollection is that the advice originated from Jack Nicholson in the Bucket List.
