Location: Orlando, FL | I'd like to say a HUGE THANKS to everyone who sent in pictures. You all did a great job!
There were so many great pics this year it was crazy trying to pick. We could have done 5 calendars and still had good pictures left over. There were at least 3 people who had enough great pics to do their very own calendars!
I redesigned the layout to get more guitars in, like Woody said more guitars less calendar.
There were some challenges at the printer this year. If anyone has any quality issues with their calendars, PLEASE send me a PM.
Thanks!

She also noticed that someone else is more obsessive than me..."those look like the same guitars". All of a sudden, having 17 Ovations wasn't so obsessive. |

All of those screwball holidays actually exist, at least to some people.
unusual holidays
Doesn't mean they aren't screwball holidays, just that somebody celebrates them. |

I waited till fall to take the pics at the lake. Summer is too crowded. I tried in September and found a time when there was only one family on the beach, but they had dogs and I could see one of them knocking a guitar in the lake, so I waited a couple weeks. Of course, I forgot the stands the second time, so I set them against the bench.
Just after I finished, somebody walked by and asked what I was doing. I said, "taking pictures of guitars". He made some comment about my weirdness, to which I replied that he's probably taken pictures of stuff I thought was weird. Everyone has obsessions. We just express them in different ways. I'm going to try to match Damon's scenery shots next year, but it might be difficult to carry the guitars to some of the more scenic places I've been to in Idaho.
Brad, thanks for calling me modest, but there's not much to taking pictures of beautiful guitars and scenery. I've got plenty of both. |

This year I was one of the first and I was totally surprised to receive it as quickly as I did.

And it's also hard to beleive how many "regulars" have e-mailed me in the last week saying that they completly missed any mention of a calendar and are there any left.
Am I not doing my job promoting this thing? If I have to I'll don the coconuts and grass skirt one more time if it means getting the word out. |

It's been a sticky at the top of General Posting for nearly 3 months. I'd say you did the best you could short of sending out daily emails to all the members.
You and Steve do a great job of this EVERY time!
Thank you! |

(And leave the coconuts alone--if anyone had had a question about the whens and wherefores of the calendar, they could have PMed you about the time we start to think "calendar.")
Although, maybe an "Absolutely the Last Call to Order a Calendar" post in flashing neon capital letters might have gotten the attention of anyone who missed it this year--a consideration for next year?

Great job as always guys.
Lots of nice gitters, but I have to say that I still have one favorite. The Floral Italian 335 copy, that guitar is awesome, a true relic from the 60s. Found it in the basement during the clean out. Yes Adamas #35 was the "best" guitar there but the Floral was the "coolest". |

Location: Texas | I was out of town for a while, and have been a little under the weather ever since, so I have been doing more lurking than posting lately… (you're welcome.) ;)
But I belatedly acknowledge that I DID get my calendar and it IS spectacular. Do we really need more than one Friday the 26th per year anyway? I don't think so… ;)
Anyway, really great job, and a big THANKS! |
