Mine is that I'm not going to buy any guitars in 2010. I may sell, and the only buying exception could be the mandola that I ordered a month ago but that may not come till 2011.
And you? |

That's the same one I used in '07, '08, and '09.
Mine is to spend more time practicing and to actually start recording the tunes I have written.
I got the gear and most of the talent (and friends to provide what I lack). I just need to dedicate the time and get it done. |

As for buying or not buying guitars...well, I don't have a very good track record of not buying so..... |

Really...to learn to be content with what I have, and not to be concerned about what I don't--because even though by some U.S. standards I don't have much, I have a lot more than so many other folks.

And, get at least half of my vinyl digitally recorded to CDs. |

This leaves the door open to do a lot of things to make sure I keep my resolution. Like maybe buy more guitars. Or get a triple bypass ... at the heart attack grill. Or spend time beachside with my girl. And see a lot more shows. Or ... just be content and spend my time and energy with those things I already have.
Oh, yeah ... I wanna learn to play some songs fingerstyle. |

But failing at that, to work on my fingerstyle, get some more recording done, and spend more time at the coast. |

Be happy, keep improving my fingerstyle and buy my second special ovation guitar.

Beal, G8r, TJ all saying they're not buying guitars in 2010? Something strange is happening....
As for me, I want to find and purchase a model 5749 in 2010 and get a digital camera and learn how to post pictures. |

#1 Finish a bunch of half written songs. I think I'll get to that one.
#2 Do some recording, I think I'll get that one done.
#3 Play an open mic. Don't know if that will happen, I can't find any open mics here. I can't even play the jam night at the blues club because it closed down!
#4 I have a whole list of songs I want to learn.
#5 Pick up the slide more often.
#6 Find people to jam with.
#7 Get to more OFC gatherings! |

(but...just found out I've got to go to a six-month school in VA -have to see about meeting up with MusicMischka- a month or two after I get back. My Honey isn't too happy about it but at least I'll keep getting the Active Duty pay and it's close enought to drive home a few times a month)
I intend on attending a gathering or two.
I really want to meet some folks here face to face.
I owe more than a few of you a really big in-person thank you (you guys know what for). |

jokes aside, thank god for the best neighbors a guy can ask for, they helped me all winter. Otherwise I would indeed be buried |

Play good enough to at least post a little something here.
Attend another OFC gathering (see ladies what you got me into) :)
