Location: big island | ...pat myself on the back a bit. yesterday was my final final for this college semester. and what a brutal semester it was! biology, biology lab, microbiology, microbiology lab and algebra. my professors have all posted the final grades. i'm stoked to report 4 A's in the sciences and a B in algebra.
sorry for the OT but i just hadta tell somebody and my wife's at work. the stress has been nearly overwhelming, especially for a 53 year old.
several times this semester i found myself singin' the ol' herman's hermits tune, "don't know much about biology..." |

In one sense, it's extremely difficult with everything else going on in your life... on the other hand, if you're like me, you're so much more focused then when you were a teenager. I completed my MBA a few years ago while working. I wish I had that same drive and determination when I went to college the first time. |

But I did OK in school in some subjects: Straight A\'s
Fantastic achievement though. Keep it up! Now have a nice winter break! |

Congrats on a job well done! |

Location: big island | hey! thanks, everybody. the support here is very tangible.
only thing is, there's no break for me. the 4-hour NLN (national league for nursing) exam is on january 8th. so, i will be exhausting myself in preparation for it.
one of these days, i'll sit down and play guitar again... :) |

Anyone who has the dedication to learn to play guitar as well as you do can focus that dedication on anything, even math! Hope you can take a few minutes for yourself, keeping in mind that to come as far as you already have, you know the material already. You'll do fine. |
