Location: Hot Springs, S.D. | Thanks guys. Merry Little Christmas was recorded here at the shop on the 1680. I didn't have the volume up high enough because when I tried it at full volume the bass was starting to overdrive. I took the computer home and recorded Santa Clause at full volume with my beloved 2077LX. It isn't as bassy as the Adamas so it didn't overdrive, but there IS that annoying background hiss. But, I'm learning... |

Alison, I must say that I was quite impressed with your playing. Lovely 'stuff'!
Oh, yeah, Merry Christmas to you and all our members! |

I keep telling myself that I must learn some Christmas songs besides the intro to Jingle Bells.
That\'s It! |

I'd love to play that type of finger-style but my brain is just not wired for it. |

Location: Hot Springs, S.D. | Thanks everyone. Hmm..."soothing", "stress reliever", "mellow". All my life I've been told I play "elevator music". I guess it's true. I don't so much try to play mellow, but I AM a very sleepy, kind of lazy, sort of boring,...Y-A-W-N...type of person. :D
(Oh, and for those who knew me when I was young {Beal}, please don't mention how loud, pushy and cantankerous I USED to be.) |

Keep it up Alison.
Alison??

Post more and often! |

I've been trying to free up some time to record my arrangement for In The Bleak Mid-winter and I'm trying to work on something new for What Child Is This, but it seems the more I want to play music, the busier my schedule gets.
But these certainly brighten my holiday a little, especially since you can apparently play rings around me. |

Much better than over a crackly phone connection.
I didn't hear any stage fright, and really, really enjoyed them both. In fact, I will listen to them again later, when I get home from giving Tim his lesson.
(Now I know what I want you to teach me when I come west in June.)
So glad everyone else finally has the chance to hear you,
--Karen |
