Location: Florida Central Gulf Coast | ... adhesive-backed controls label removal (the PA mounting screws are under the label).
-Remove the slider knobs.
-Using a heat gun (hair dryer should work also), apply heat over the PA face.
-Use your finger to test/sense the amount of heat being applied. If it's too hot for your fingers, it's too hot for the PA.
-When the heat has been evenly applied, remove heat.
-Use a small sharp object (I used a dental tool) to slowly and gently lift a corner of the label.
-Continue to lift the label until you can use a common screwdriver to slowly and gently complete the removal.
CAUTION:
Keep the angle of removal as shallow as possible. The label is a type of foil which will crease if you're not careful.
Attempt at you own risk!
What was really great is that there are no label creases or curling and no adhesive on the PA! I placed the label in a folded piece of was paper for safe storage. I'm very pleased with the result. This was much easier than the last label I removed without any heat.
Although I didn't do the following, the faint hearted might want to place clean rags/towel/etc. around the PA as a bowl heat shield.
