Location: The Great Pacific Northwest | This recent addition is my all-time favorite burst and I'm not just saying that because of where it came from.
It's a Koa topped VXT done by our own MWoody. What I really like is that the Koa top isn't perfect. In person more than shows in the photo, it's a bit "rustic" looking, which when juxtaposed with what's under the hood... just seems downright poetic. Really to someone not familiar with Ovation, one could easily pass this off as a Vintage 60's or 70's era guitar that aged well... until they plugged it in and the WOW happens.!!!

| Sunburst finishes always remind me of guitar lessons when I was in grade five and that gawd-awful Mel Bay guitar book which had a sunburst rig on the cover.
Only burst I ever seen that I liked was the Collings that someone here had for sale a few months ago. |
