Location: Tychy, Poland | My girlfriend played on my Legend last Tuesday. She had too long nails and she scratched fingerboard on 2nd fret (3mm long, 1 mm wide scratch).
I haven't talked to her since. |

| If her nails are that sharp I would be very careful what I let her hold. |

| grab some 000 steel wool, and some mineral oil and buff it right off.... good as new...
otherwise the mineral oil, might be your new imaginary girlfriend's assistant.

Talk to her. Quickly. Start with flowers, work your way up from there.
Never mind who's fault it is. If there's nail enough to scratch the fretboard, think of the alternatives...

Ahh... she knows me, i think she got used to my guitarophilia.
Capo Guy: she has a classical guitar, and i think about giving her my Cort Katana electric, if i won't get fair price for it, she likes Marylin Manson and hard rock in general, so maybe she will catch interest in playing.
edit: JB? Flowers? i'd rather make her buy me a new guitar care set than buy her flowers for scratching MY Ovation :-) |

The answer is YES.
But you know what? Some flowers, maybe some jewelry now and then, and you get a SWMBO who insists that you buy a Larrivee that you don't really need. |

Oh my dad asked me, "If a tree fell in the woods and no one heard it, would the man still be wrong"? |

I've talked to her, she told me she didn't call because she was afraid of my reaction when i will notice nick on fingerboard (rotfl - am i THAT evil?) - i've noticed that scratch day after - and she told me she's sorry for it. I told her to cut her nails and come play again :-)
naah. funny thing is that legend has already had broken top, broken neck, dinged bowl, has more cracks on it than it;s possible to imagine, but fingerboard was virtually last place that haven't been damaged till now, and she knew that i like this legend because of neck and how comfortable it is.
naaah... she will be my official SWMBO someday, but untill then i have to build my guitar collection, because i know she won't accept any new guitar for more than $500... |

And then they deny everything. They stand there with a look of total shock when you ask them about the new dent or the pushed in bumper. "Wasn't me" is their response. |

'92 Mitsubishi Galant doesn't count as a car anymore, since every 3000 miles it needs 3 months for repairs. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | It's all relative. We had a VW van that got a big scratch on the sliding door. SWMBO denied knowing anything about it and concluded somebody must have keyed it. Like someone would care enough to key a VW van. Then it happened again in the same spot. I thought somebody was out to get us.
Then I went grocery shopping with her once and she pulls the cart up right next to the sliding door and starts to scrape it down the side of the cart. She probably would have scratched right through the door eventually if I hadn't thrown a fit. What guys like to keep nice and what their significant others like to keep nice are worlds apart. |
