It will allow me to cut the power to my guitar when I am not playing in church.(no accidental strums or amplified bumps) Especially handy since I don't have a preamp with a vol. control. Would be nice for those who are switching guitars often also. |

| Similar products have been around for a while. I solve this problem by using a volume pedal between the guitar and mixer. Works with all cords. |

Location: Warren,Pa. | I've had one for a few years. It's a simple way to switch guitars during a set w/o the sound guy having to do anything. Other items like a vol. pedal will work, but while the electric guitar kid next to me is setting up all his pedals and his amp and 5 million other things...I love showing up with just a guitar and a cord. |

Location: Cork, Ireland | I was thinking something way more compact, like a thumbwheel instead of the switch in the Circuit Breaker. Like the ones you see in headphone cables. |

| I thought leaving the 1/4 jack inserted in the guitar draws on the battery ? |

| Yes it does. I do prefer the convenience of leaving the guitar plugged in during breaks so I carry spare batteries. This is another reason (of many) why I prefer the Optima pre-amp on my 1869 - changing the battery is quick, easy and painless. |
