| A number of you have been generous in your compliments to my advancing guitar skills, such as they are, and have rightly attributed that to my instructor. That gave me an idea, and I talked to my instructor about it last night. He would be more than happy to run a 1-day clinic (morning, lunch break, then afternoon) the next time we host an OFC gathering.
A little background on Richy: he's been a professional guitarist and instructor for nearly 30 years, has played on sessions and live for numerous acts such as Bela Fleck, Tiffany Lee, Derek Trucks, Rich Eckhart; he's a Professor of Music at Santa Fe Community College; founder of the jazz group Mindwalk ; a close friend of Matt Smith; and a National Guitar Workshop instructor.
I'd like to gauge interest, so the questions are: |

| Thanks to everyone who voted. It looks like most folks would be open to such a mini-clinic. I threw out that cost as a rough suggestion. With enough people committing to an actual mini-clinic the price would drop accordingly; I'm not out to profit on this. We'll see how this pans out as we get closer to a gathering. Maybe do this for G8rBowl-III? |
