As I understand they sent it back to the original shop that made it for restoration. |

| They're in stores. I played a few in Chicago recently. Beautiful looking and sounding guitars, they do the Guild name proud. |

That old textile factory with the bell tower and maze like layout is as much a part of Ovation as the shape of the headstock.
Just the drive thru the woods to get there puts employees in right frame of mind.
No, no... gotta keep the Mothership right where it is. |

Yeah, I'd really like to remedy that…

No, no... gotta keep the Mothership right where it is. That's what I thought, but I had to ask… It's true I haven't been there, but I have seen pictures, mostly on the inside of my guitars… ;)
Seriously, I have seen the place in photos and videos of past tours, I would love to see it in person someday. Apparently "OFC tour" is not a topic for discussion in the near future. Do they offer individual tours to those who make the pilgrimage to the MS?
I may just have to settle for letting one of my guitars visit without me, a couple of my older O's would enjoy from a spa treatment. |

I just wanted to add:
It is true that a manufacturing relocation within the US would be unthinkable when you consider tradition and heritage of the MS. But conversely it might indicate a definitive intention to continue to build at least some guitars in the US. That was the reason for my naive question. I certainly didn't mean to be sacrilegious about the MS. (We are not supposed to discuss politics or sacreligion anyway…) ;) |

I sure would like to know what's going on at the factory ... I suppose all will be revealed in time. |

You need to try one, they are WONDERFUL. The factory has a long history of building great instruments and the skills there are top notch. It's nice to see them diversify. |

Couple of nice conference rooms.
Front lobby looks great with the O Desk!
W Newberry street leading there is in real rough shape. They should lobby the town to resurface it or give directions around it. |

It's just an issue of voltage. |
