He will be missed, his mother lived in the same hi-rise as my father and I did on Lakeshore Dr. in Chicago.... used to see him on the Elevator and in the lobby... never got to meet his mom tho..at least not that I knew... maybe Dad did.
I miss the un-politically correct days of Laugh In, and the Smothers...

That's just a function of where you stand on the issues ... the Smothers Brothers were booted off network TV because of the stances they took on their show and they refused to be politically correct for the time.

Gibson doing his goofy poems was my third favorite character on the show after Goldie Hawn (doing anything) and Lily Tomlin (doing her telephone operator bit).
Compared to what is allowed on television these days, Laugh-In was mild. I remember when they got Nixon on camera doing the famous "Sock it to me" show line. Thereafter, he was elected president.
