Location: Newington, CT | Thanks, all! Makes sense! So, that set me to a-wonderin' is there a membership roster? Might be interesting to see who the REAL founders were. You know, the first 10, or the first 100 or so... |

| The Wabbit was being facetious. Your member number is listed under your member name in every post...

(Now three months ago it just might've been a quick sale. You've got a couple that I wouldn't mind taking off your hands and you know that but I'm done for a little while.) |

Location: The Great Pacific Northwest | A little over 2300 members have posted more than twice which translates to a little over 30% of people who register post. MUCH higher than expected.. Much higher than the norm for similar forums, especially when you consider that one ONLY needs to register to post.... anyone, without registering, can search and read.
With over 5300 visitors every month!!!! it really shows the majority of visitors don't join or post. And for those that think it's all "bots and search engines" and whatnot... While there are a few... The average time spent on the site is nearly 12 minutes.
Something to think about when you're "sharing with the family"... |

Many times a month I check into the forum from my wifes computer without logging in under my user name. I just want to see what's happening. That's considered a "visitor", right? I wonder if many other members do the same thing?
In fact, many may jump on the forum to check the posts, but not log on unless they have something to say. This is not to say we don't get a bunch of visitors, it just may account for some of that 5300 number. |

Location: The Great Pacific Northwest | The 5300 visitors are unique visitors. If somone accessed the site from your computer... that's one visitor, no matter who's at the keyboard, logged in or not.
So.. in that sense.... if you then view the site from work also... then you are getting counted twice... but in the scheme of things... that percentage (people who log in from more than one location) really isn't important.... The last time I checked there were of 60,000 unique vistors to the site in a year. If EVERYONE who registered logged in from 4 different places... that still doesn't even come close to how many people visit the site.. especially when you factor in over 250,000 hits each month... |
