I'm looking for a full size Glen Campbell truss rod cover. The full size ones are about 1 5/8" tall. There are smaller ones out there that are a little less than 1 1/2" tall. Looking for the full size one.

Thanks.

You'll get one of the smaller ones. I have one of those. They had quite a number of those around at the factory. I think they were going to use those on Glen Campbell Thunderheads (which they never sold). But the size used on the Glen Campbell Artists and reissues are in short supply. None at the factory....

I wonder how much it would cost to go to a "Nameplate & Plaque" shop and get one made?

I'm guessing that they would just need some Brownish Black & Yeller layered plastic and a dremel.
Plus a copy of the signature and a measurement/pattern of the TRC you are creating.

Don't you mean 2 5/8" instead of 1 5/8".

I've got a 2 5/8" one with a small chip off one corner (about 1/32" in size).

John, if I can patch it to look good, I'm going to put it on the rebuilt Legend as a bit of a tribute. Here's a little Glen Campbell trivia for you.

In about 1974, Ovation built 50 A braced Legends (see Talbot's postings on the ning site). One of those went to Glen. About 3 years ago, Buddy Blackmon (Goober) posted that Glen actually got a guitar that was meant for Greg Allman and that Glen loved it, using it on albums that he made from '74-'76, and in concerts. He must have loved it because he had made a huge stink over wanting a guitar that he could plug in, and this one was acoustic only.

In 1976 he got Adamas slothead #27 and used Adamii until 1982 when he got his 1537. He used multi hole O's (1537 and 87C) until about 10 years ago when he went to a Viper.

But when you see him with an acoustic guitar these days, it's almost always a great sounding early 80's black Custom Legend.

I had my Legend rebuilt to match the specs of that old A braced Legend Glen had 35 years ago. Hand laid bowl, A braced, acoustic only. But I also had a 5 point rosewood bridge, and a hand select spruce top put on. It's a great sounding acoustic guitar.

I want the TRC just to acknowledge thanks to Glen.....

"He was known as "The Man Who Stalked Glen Campbell", until his unfortunate encounter with a fret removing tool, wielded by Mr. Campbell's enraged mother."

Please phrase your answer in the form of a question.

You can put a shortie GCTRC on an acoustic model as long as the TR pocket isn't cut out so big. Their repeatability on cutting the pockets (whittle by hand?) is pretty bad so you stand a chance that a shortie will fit. You'll have to drill a new screw hole, but the TRC might still cover the old one plus the pocket. It worked on a few of mine.

Oh, I'm sorry, you were so close.
The correct answer is, "Who is the Eunuch of Mission Viejo".

Well! The judges have reconsidered and decided to award you the question.
The complete answer is, "Who is the One-Eyed Eunuch of Mission Viejo".
