Location: Erlinsbach | Hello to all from a newbie!
Allthough being an Ovation fan since 30 years I never found the right forum to share my thoughts. Finally I found the OFC when I searched for infos about the fender plans for ovation.
30 years ago i bought my first O - an Electric Legend 1617 - as a young student and had to scrape all my money together. I was inspired by the german guitar duo Peter Horton and Siggi Schwab who used Ovations for their LP Guitarissimo. Later I got infected by the blues virus and played more and more electric music but always remained true to my Os.
Originally born in southern germany i'm living now in Switzerland since 23 years.
Let me share my joy about my new baby: a Collector's 2009 Koa. I never owned a guitar with such a beautiful top. Please find some pictures below, its hard to capture the 3D effect of the flames. Look at the headstock - unbelievable. Sound is on par with my '99 Adamas II 1581, not as balanced and warm but with a spectacular piano sound on the bass strings. Listen to a short clip on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ie0myn_kFrw
Enough for the first poste. Many greetings from switzerland.

I also have and 09C and agree that it's a great sounding guitar and that no picture can show the true beauty of these guitars.
But don't tell - let it be our secret. |

Beautiful, beautiful guitar; thanks for the clip, too--so nice to see and hear it in action.
Welcome aboard--I hope that you'll be able to go to any OFC European get-togethers that may occur; some really nice folks live (and play) on your side of the Big Pond.

Location: Right now? | Welcome! You play beautifully, and your guitar is gorgeous! I have one also. Isn't it one of the prettiest guitars you've ever seen, not to mention that it sounds AWESOME? The neck is VERY comfortable ... for me, anyway.
Congratulations! What number is it (just being nosey)?
;)

Michelle oh crap. This did not come out the way I wanted it to and the time for editing elapsed. I meant to say that normally no picture can do it justice, but yours do!

Location: michigan | Cool guitar. New to this board but love ovations. I love this guitar in particular. Wanted to share that I just made an offer on the bay for a new one (w/Warranty, case etc.)
$950 shipped, can't wait to get it. Sold the martin d-42 (2000) last month to pay taxes. Glad I did as this will be its replacement. Great playing by the way in your demo. I still can't beleive these are going for about a grand (and only 150 were produced). |

I would like to place some more files in the member area. Does anybody know how to change the state vom 'JUNIOR MEMBER' to 'MEMBER'?
Greetings
