Location: Utah | New endorsers? That's kind of tough. It isn't as if there are any shows at all like the variety hour shows of the 60's and 70's. There are no Glen Campbell type of hosts. And so many of the popular singers are plastic performers.
If it were my decision, I'd want at least one young performer who is popular with the middle school and high school crowd. Like a Kellie Pickler or Jessica Andrews. Get the kids interested in an Ovation for their first guitar in their teens.
The modern Christian and "positive message" genres are just ripe for endorsements. Some example artists would be Jewel, Patty Griffin, Nicole Nordeman (does she play guitar?), Edwin McCain, Matthew West, Jeremy Camp, and both guitarists from Casting Crowns.
This genre would appeal to buyers of all ages.
Finally, get a very accomplished solid body electric player. Which means Ovation would reissue one or more of their solid bodies...
Sign an artist such as Brad Paisley or Ana Popovic. |

Demi Lavoto, Selena Gomez, Jonas Brothers,
hush the dream Miley Cyrus.
Any top 5 AI finalist would help.
Ana already is an Ovation endorser.
In terms of Brad Paislery
Make him VXT-S WITH A Paisley finish and his name inlayed in the fret board.
He will either love it or it will collect dust.
Either way its worth the chance.
The VXT-S is simply a superior guitar to a Tele.
Its perfect for the Nashville sound.
You could wire it as a straight electric. |

...but there might be some kind of 'cold dead fingers' clause judging by the looks of his regular git. |
