So after being in retirement for about ten years (do to frets needing to be replaced) I sent my first Ovation to the mothership for a re-fret today. It is a 1112-4 and I am giddy. I don't know why, maybe because it is my first love and I know that I will be able to play it again.

I know that it is is good hands with John and his crew. I never trusted any of the luthiers in my area. After all she is my baby.

Trust me... You will be A-mazed.
Those guys love those old guitars just as much as we do.

I have NEVER been disappointed with the work those guys do. I have sent back 5 or 6 for major work, and they ALWAYS amaze me when they get back. You won't find a better company to deal with for repairs.

I have read in this forum how many times the mothership has repaired guitars. They have always repaired the guitar better than the owners expected. I don't know what took me so long to ship the 1112 to them.

I been having repairs and customization done there
dating back to the early 90's.
The service is simply the industry best.

I had them re-top my '85 Legend back in the day, and it was phenomenal when it came back. Better than it ever was.

My cousin is heading to the US in June and he's taking my '05 back to the mothership for some 'attention'.

It's boxed up and sitting in his garage 600 miles away.

Am I excited? That's a no brainer. 'course I am.

Am I nervous? Oh, yes! (Its a long way from Queensland to Connecticut and back.)
