I've updated your status, so feel free to post throughout the site.

Location: Boise, Idaho | Congrats. I was watching a red Viper on ebay last night, but it went well above my "couldn't pass up the deal price." Vipers will still be on my list, as soon as I learn how to use the electric guitars that I have. |

Here is the Viper just bought. Think its a white re-spray and may have been S/B underneath.
Not sure yet if its a maple body or Mahogany. anyway here`s a pic with my tele.

If you look in the pickup sockets you can see if there are different finishs and sometimes the wood. Go ahead and scrape if you need to and then cover it all with shielding tape for a better sound anyway.
And that White body is just crying for a Cherry PG!

Location: UK | Turns out white was not the original colour.
Looks like it was a dark walnut effect finish .
Going to strip body back to maple.
MWoody your Viper looks great, hope mine looks half as good when finished. Cheers. |

Location: UK | well here she is back to natural finish.
Had to use a darker stain due to what seems like scratches that will not come out.
Upon closer inspection they seem to be some strange grain pattern, but never seen anything like it before.
Here`s a pic anyway, and a close up of marks.
