Location: Philadelphia | I have a mid 90's Ovation Applause whose bridge just recently split apart (and landed about twenty feet away)
I'd like to do a DIY replacement, but can't find any Ovation bridges on google or Ebay. I'm not worried about a direct match, just something that doesn't require pegs.
Any ideas? |

You could contact the MotherShip, Ovation Factory through their website...
Or you can just wait around here to see if one of the BFLG* members has one.

Location: New Hampsha | Post a pic - i have a bunch of NOS bridges. If it uses the "fat" pickup instead of the thinline we may be in luck. |

you would have to add 2- holes to bolt it on the applause(you could use the old one as a template).
I don't think I would just glue it on in any case?

Location: Philadelphia | I was able to get home at lunch and take a few shots.
It had been cracked for a few years but it finally gave way when I was at work. I came home to find the strings off - it took me a minute to realize what had happened. Then it took me another to find the other piece of the bridge.

Location: Philadelphia | Wow that looks pretty close to stock. I think I'll purchase.
Anybody know the original saddle height? I'm sure this could be personal preference though.
Length I think is standard -
2 7/8" Long x 1/8" Thick
Available saddle heights for purchase vary - 1/4", 5/16", or 3/8" |

Location: kansas | on an applause that I had bought new back in the '70s, I replaced the 'plastic' nut and saddle with brass nut and a brass saddle.
If I were to replace the saddle, I'd try to match up the dimensions with one of these TUSQ saddles:

(BTW - replacing the applause plastic nut sure would complete your repair project).
