Just cased the 1680 for the AI trip tomorrow. Fortunately I had the foresight to pull out my ol' '78 1614-1 Folklore last week to carry me through tonight.

My, oh my, what a joyous reunion! Although in 'storage' for a few months, she was dang near dead on in tuning. What a sweet, rich and mature sound she has acquired in her 31 years! For such a sweet thang, she does have a manly neck ('Lola').

So now that you've improved your playing a bit with your current favorite model, grab one of dem ol' girlfriends and give her a squeeze. She might surprise ya!

I think Music Mike had a similar experience yesterday...

Wish I were going, but I can't afford to cross the street. Have a cold one for me Iffy. (I prefer Sam Adams.)
