I had one of those years ago. I sold mine for about $175 I think when I lived in Savannah.
You got a good deal. They're not bad little guitars.

How's it sound compared to an all wood classical? |

Better than it deserves, at the dirt-cheap price I paid. Usual Ovation classical bracing. Not quite as rich as an 1113 or 1116, but just as good as a CC15. Yes, I've owned a few O's. It doesn't appear Applause made that many classicals, in this style. Somebody scraped the label out, and mutilated the serial # tag. Anybody know the exact model #?
BTW, SWMBO has been REALLY razzing me on my "burnt orange" guitar. The stain is pretty distinctive. I'm pretty sure it must have a laminated top, cuz I counted 3 veneer patterns, on the inside, and only the 2-part bookmatched pattern on the outside. |

Location: Pacific Northwest Inland Empire | Yeah, Arthur, I pulled the trigger pretty quick on this one. About 2 minutes, total. 2 seconds to decide, and the rest to negotiate the labrynth of Ebay & PayPal. I don't think this thing was played much, either. It might have been in Oz, at some point. There was a Harley-Davidson sticker on the OHSC, from a shop in Queensland. I may have to post an image for The Downunderers. |
