Location: Texas | I have never seen one with a paper tag. Too bad it became a victim of Sandy. I am serisouly thinking about offering refuge to her. I assuming it would have to be one of the earliest '71's?

Location: SoCal | I'm thinking late '71 as it has electronics (but that's just a WAG, w/o looking up the serial number). Wonder if it's rehab-able...... |

Location: Texas | Paul, That is the odd thing. The serial pre-dates when the series started...I think.. 6013 "1000 - = 1967 (Nov)-1968 (July) Four digits in black ink, no letter prefix " "10000 - = 1970 (Feb)-1972 (May) Five digits, no letter prefix " Wonder if it's rehab-able...... Not sure...looks to be some interest in it. I may not find out.

Location: SoCal | Jay, when I said late '71, I wasn't even looking at the serial number. I was basing that on when the C.A. was developed, and when the electronics were introduced. I don't think I'm off by more than 6 months one way or another, but I'm sure somebody here will delight in telling me I'm wrong. Probably my ex-wife or my daughter, under an assumed id....... |

Right? Anyway being a Sandy survivor makes it sort of interesting. |

Location: Texas | Paul... I have to agree with you. Regardless of what the serial says...the sum of the parts...especially the piezo, really makes it hard to argue that the serial is accurate. |

I hope you're going to buy the Sandy special after all this. |

You mean they didn't keep track of them on their computers? (Or smartphones or tablets or whatever). |
