Glad to see my old friend again! |

Location: Canada | It's going to FlySig. Hate to see it go. But the taxman's come a knockin'... Great tone on this instrument with the Viper pickups, then add the battery powered piezo and the tones are infinite.
4x ? Maybe it's because I tried attaching my own pictures a few times?... and failed at each attempt! That's when I decided to put a link to the old pictures/posts.
Anyway I've promised it to Flysig. So I'll ship it to him as soon as we co-ordinate. Worked 'till 4am so I'm off to dreamland ~*~ G'night. |

If memory serves me that has Viper pups with the original caps and pots. The Piezos are LR Baggs and Shadow. The body was a Breadwinner that I stripped and finished. |

Location: Utah | I'm really looking forward to this guitar! This is the configuration I was looking to create if I ever found a cosmetically challenged Breadwinner/Deacon to rehab - single coils plus piezo bridge. When it arrives it will be the third MWoody in the house to keep company with a Viper with Koa pickguard and the little A-scale 12 string electric. |

This Uber Deacon is too complicated to go get in person due to being in Canada. Shipping is just way easier though not cheap in this direction. |

Location: Canada | I remember there were some unexpected shipping costs when I got it, but nothing too extravagant. Still worked out to be a good buy compared to my options.... like an eastwood breadwinner for instance, imho.
As soon as I get your co-ordinates I can get an estimate from Canada Post. Here's looking forward...
btw if you ever decide to sell it who gets 1st dibs? I know it's been around the club some. I am going to have to at least find a comparable replacement for it at some point. It will be hard to surpass the tones of this one- the Viper pickups in tandem with the piezo are remarkable.
Anyhow, drop me a line.
Ciao for now,
Glenn
ps No chance you'll be flying north-east anytime soon, eh? |

I avoid Canada overnights because of the restrictions in both directions on the food we can carry. We currently don't serve your city from here but I do fly regularly to Edmonton, Calgary, and Vancouver (I do a Vancouver turn this afternoon). |

Thanks. I'll look up the shipping charges asap.
It seems you frequent the western part of Canada. I haven't been out west in years, but I remember thinking how nice Vancouver was, and Victoria B.C. even more so.

Location: Canada | Seems alright now. Not sure what happened with the 1st one... wasn't even in my spam folder.
Anyhow all communications seem to be working fine now.
I'm just playing the Deacon for awhile before I have to pack her up. I know I'm repeating myself, but those Viper p-ups in tandem with the piezos are something else. I've plugged the 2 outputs to 2 different amps and it's addictive. Talk about surround sound! Both open back cabinets. The sound doesn't come at you, you're actually in the middle of it all. What fun! I've even started writing a farewell piece on this guitar.. inspired by it's fullness of tone. Hope I get to finish it. If not I'll complete it with another instrument. Sometimes the hardest part is just getting an initial idea, then fill it in and elaborate from there.

Location: Utah | It is funny how a guitar will inspire something different than another guitar. Just before I shipped off my 2007 BCS Collector edition (to MWoody) I put together a simple instrumental which that guitar wanted me to play. The song is nothing amazing but it was fun to assemble it.

BTW, the check is in the mail to you for the Uber Deacon. |

Location: Canada | Absolutely! Different instruments stir up different emotions and feelings. Also like you said "That guitar wanted me to play."
I see a guitar to us as similar to what we are to the creative muse. We need a vehicle to bring the music through, and different guitars adapt to different approaches, harmonies, melodies and rhythms. Somewhat like the muse needs different musicians to "channel" the music through.
Hope I communicated that in a way that makes some sense!? |

I have a buddy with such a bad case of G.A.S he has to move into a larger dwelling to make room for his instruments. |

REALLY glad you're happy with the "Woody" Deacon.
It was hard to part with. I have 2 other electrics with a combination of magnetic and piezo p-ups, but neither have the oomph and percussive tone of the Woody.
Keep up the dancin' and take care of those fingers!
Ciao for now. |
