| Hi folks,
I'm looking to buy an old Ovation that a friend has, but she stays pretty far away and has just sent me a serial no: Ovation guitar 032802
From what I can tell it seems that it is a 1974 American made Ovation with no electronics... Not sure of the model though - was 74' a good year? What additional info can I get from this?
Many thanks guys!

It will be impossible to tell anything without knowing the model. Do you have pictures?

| My bet is South Asia. Namaste.
Those early Ovations can be outstanding, but it is impossible for us to tell the Model from just the serial number. |

I've spent some time in your country, though in a small part, just around Cape Town. I stayed in Blouburg (probably misspelled). Had a wonderful time.
Where in SA are you? |

| I'm in Durban - but may be moving to Cape Town some time in the not too distant future... Glad SA treated you well :)
I've got some pics of the Ovation - maybe it'll help... Also do you have an idea what a 74' Balladeer with no electronics would be worth now?
