I have some question about Ovation Thunderbolt TB01. I have very little knowledge about Ovation. But I need some advise from Ovation expert. TB01 (black) in present.How much price is reasonable? According to the price list available through the Reference link at the top of these pages, the T'bolt was produced from 1986-1988. The chart also shows the original list as ranging from $1295 to $1349, so figure street price was probably in the $900 range. A general rule of thumb is that today's value for a mint condition Ovation with original case and case candy (hang tags, owner's manual, case keys, etc.) will be near the original street price, going lower if the guitar has issues such as worn frets, finish dings or cracks, etc. I don't like to be the price police, but these come up for sale here on occasion, usually fetching in the $500-700 range. I haven't played one, but a lot of people like them.
