Location: Blue Ridge Mountains | Arrived home this morning: 30+ years of filth and strings at least that old...cut off old strings, replaced the tuners (one broken knob) with the tuners from my 68 1115, cleaned fret board and polished frets, cleaned and waxed body, back of bowl SURPRISEINGLY shiny...very little scratches and no damage, one top crack (left bridge to bottom edge of top - may have been repaired at one time), quite a few finish cracks(but I think it gives it character), restrung and tuned up and plays like a dream: I will take some off of the bass side of the saddle and lower the action a bit for my tastes...for under $280, what a great guitar and a great piece of Ovation Guitar Co. History!
Here are some pic's: 1968 SB 12 |

I just sold my '67 Balladeer after I lent it to a friend and he bugged me until I sold it to him...I'm having sellers remorse! |
