Long time player, first time poster...
First I'd like to do a little name dropping.
Kathy and Mike helped me in 1984 with a surgical replacement of my deep bowl body ( due to marital strife related incident )
They hadn't done it before, yet reused my surviving three or five piece neck and mated that to the " Al Demieola "
Special cutaway a/e mezzo body.... Super sweet!

I'm intrigued about the return to Boston!?
If mike or Kathy are still on this mortal coil, I'd like to contact them.

What brings me to the site ?
Love for the "O"
And curiosity if a repair shop is back online yet
Over 30 years of marriage later ( best two decades of my life )
I'm in need of a new top for the cut away.
The rest of the marital strife story:
Heated debate led to wife unit place kicking the deep bowl across the room where Kirchoffs law was invoked.
I just got super quiet and in a non threatening voice I said " just don't touch my piano, I'm gonna get some space"

Hello Moondawg.

I don't know about Kathy or Mike but you can ask your questions in the main forum now.

The factory is being retooled as we speak, ad the service department is up and running. John Budny is the guy that can handle the top replacement, though that may need to wait until the manufacturing piece is back online.
