Many of us have reached a wonderful age when all of our idols are reaching mortality.
When I first read this on FB I put ELP on my media player and listened for a while.

Plus I was thinking that 71 ain't that old (my Mom turns 78 on 3/17).

His girlfriend is saying that over-critical fans had a hand in this, that he was quite sensitive and the fact he was getting hate mail/social media in regards to his playing of late helped put him in this state of mind.
