Hi Everyone,

I'm a newbie here. Just got my first Ovation electric. This is a 1976 Deacon in a perfect condition. I'm totally happy with this guitar as nothing compares to it in terms of playing comfort while seated in the classical guitar playing position.

The only thing that I'm still looking to sort out is which guitar stand would be suitable for this guitar as I would rather not hang it on the wall.

I've seen some pictures on the web with Deacons and Breadwinners placed on floor guitar stands, but could not figure out what brands/models those stands were.

Any advice on the appropriate stand would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hercules stands will work cuz they hang by the headstock.

OR you can just get an normal $15 guitar stand that has a bottom "yoke" and set the guitar in there carefully... Maybe you might need to bend the yoke a little.

That was my guitar (both gone)... and that is a "Stagg" $15 stand.
I hope that helps.
