Location: Yokohama, Japan | So...for the first time in my life, my wife gave me a Valentine's gift related to guitars! Wow, just floored...
It's an "Applause" chocolate too (intentional gnorance of "Theater"). I wonder if this is a sign from my wife saying, "Buy the new Applause AE44ii, Ken." Naw, God works in signs and wonders...my wife works in absolutes. Oops sorry honey, did you see me type that...Uh oh... Happy Valentine's Day OFC! |

Location: Boise, Idaho | Mine got me a box of chocolates, too, but in a soccer ball themed box. I didn't ask if she bought it before yesterday when my doctor told me I needed to get my cholesterol down. Same doctor told her she was pre-diabetic, so she won't help me eat the chocolate. Doctors are real buzz killers. |

Location: When?? | I'm making dinner for my wife tonight. Is it just me, or do others feel that bologna sandwiches always taste better in February? I do want the dinner to be special, so I'm going to go ahead and break out the expensive mustard, and also place a cocktail olive on top of the sandwiches held in place by those fancy toothpicks with the colored plastic fringe (she gets the red one). |

LOL!
By the way, I should say that in Japan, the girls give sweet gifts to guys on Valentine's Day, and the sweets industry made a new day on March 14th called "White Day" where guys give girls the sweets. So, I never could get used to this "Girls take initiative" idea over here.
And then in Korea, the sweets industry incorporated White Day and added another day on April 14th called "Black Day" where folks who didn't get sweets on Valentine's Day or White Day exchange sweets.
Strange... |

Feel free to use The Google about March 14. The PG version is it is the man's ideal day. She gets all the romantic crap on Valentines day with the mushy card, flowers, chocolate, etc. March 14 is his day. "Steak and a Guitar Day", or something like that. |

Location: When?? | Geeze.. now I'm starting to think you guys believed me.. so please allow me to pat my own back over some tasty London broil, scalloped potatoes, saute asparagus and cherry cobbler.. and yes, I made it all. Honestly, I don't think I've fed her stuff like bologna since way back when we had that little soundproof bunker under the shed. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | I believed you because it sounded like something I'd do. I got a special treat after Valentine's. Pink peanut M and Ms were half off, so she got me a bag of those. I took them to the office so I wouldn't eat them all by myself. I guess the next high calorie holiday is Easter. |

Yeah. I much prefer the pimento or olive loaf...
...and washing it down with some of Nancy's Reeses Peanut Butter Cups would really help! |

Location: Yokohama, Japan | Well, I thought we celebrated Valentine's Day in a strange way over here in Asia; but the OFC takes Valentine's to a whole new level of Love! What do Gourmet Chefs, bologna in sweet-n-sour sauce, pink M&Ms, Reeses and Guitars have in common? Well, look no further than the OFC! LOL! |

An interesting crew, no doubt... and I've only been here one year. Apparently we all need something to do while our guitars are napping, and a topic like Valentine's day is just begging for it. That, and watching the daily parade go past on guitar-for-sale sites. Much like fishing. Lots of throw-backs, but once in a while you can catch a keeper. You just have to wash the bologna juice and M&M stains off before you go back and play.
PS edit: Mark, I got that same red & pink M&M load on the 15th! Our wives must both know how to find the deals on that one.
