Hi think this is my first post here - although I was surprised I've been a member since 2013.

I just bought my first Ovation - it's a Black MIK DPK5 Dave Amato Signature. This guitar isn't available any more and has such a shy web presence - I was wondering if anyone here can shed some light on it. I emailed Ovation and they said there were Korean and USA versions of this - and that they no longer produce them - they're available from a handful of online retailers in the US and Europe Its coming from the US (I'm in Canada) this week - I noticed it has a 1 7/8" width nut - that's cool...I'm primarily a finger style player.

I know it's not a a 'real' Ovation in the traditional sense.....

I have always been a fan of the Gibson Chet Atkins SST - and have owned one, and a lot of guitars with no sound hole - chambered - (the challenge of trying to make them sound like a real acoustic guitar is fun).

I'd be interested in what this group thinks of it.
