| I want to decide this week between the Ovation Patriot or the 1982 Collector's Series Models. They are in nearly the same condition and price. Which would you choose and why? I hear the Patriot sounds great but I don't think it is a AAA top of the 1882.

You did not say if the Patriot was the Acoustic/Electric, or Acoustic-only...
But get the Patriot anyway.
Why?
Because Patriots are cooler than the Blue 1982 Collector's Edition. 
Don't go by that "AAA" rating. That rating is very subjective.
It just means that it was the best wood in the pile that day.

| Hi, thanks for the reply. The Patriot I see is only the acoustic one. I have read that only 10% of the Patriots have electronics in them. The elec are not a biggie to me as LR Baggs and Fishmen make incredible pickups.
By the way, I haven't been able to find anywhere a complete spec list of the Patriot. Even sellers give very little info on that. If you can direct me to more on it please do. |

I searched all over the place and I could not find the Specs on the Patriot.
I know I have seen them before, I just don't know where.
