| Hi have an Ovation 4861 new to me, in need of some love and attention. I thought it had simply been neglected, but closer inspection looks like its been abused! I wish to lower the action, as it is challenging to say the least. There seems to be no truss rod nut, which explains the action. I am fairly experienced with truss rod adjustment in other guitars but Ovations are new to me. Am I missing something? I am assuming the threaded bolt is the truss! The thread looks ok as far as I can determine. Is anyone able to advise me on where I can source the correct nut please. It would be a crying shame to not be able to get her playable again. There is no battery compartment either, but I suspect that this item is not available anymore... There seems to be a flat headed screw arrangement that once held the battery compartment, but I will be able to fashion something suitable if necessary.
The label says " A kaman music product", made in Korea, and the serial is 397211.
Any help and advice would be greatly received.
