Hi all,
So I just went to yard sale and saw this guitar. Ovation 1117, serial number puts it around 1980.
With original case. I paid $100.
After taking home I realized just how amazing this guitar is. The condition of this guitar defies reason. Not a single scratch on it and it sounds absolutely amazing. Deep rich and sweet.
This is the Tobacco Sunburst. Again, I was just cleaning it and looking at it trying to find something wrong with it and I just can't. The gold hardware has some raised bumps but otherwise look great.
I am completely blown away.
I don't know what it is really worth. I mean the condition is SO PRISTINE that I don't know how you can value a guitar like this. I don't even know if I can part with it. But I know if I keep it I will be the first one to scratch it and I will hate myself.
I will post pictures if you guys want but honestly just google a 1117 80's tobacco sunburst and imagine an absolutely perfect one.
I have bought brand new guitars that were not as perfect as this. I am astounded.
