Hello. I haven't been able to find out any info about this; so I have come to ask the experts.

In short, I just picked up this Ultra GS
https://reverb.com/item/35071876-1985-ovation-ultra-gs-stratocaster-...

Regardless of all the documentation that the Ultra GS all came with either a Kahler Flyer or a traditional fulcrum tremolo (which is also reflected in the contemporary catalog http://www.ovationtribute.com/Catalogues/1985_Ovation_Ultra_Hard_Bo...), it seems that there was an undocumented 3rd tremolo option that was installed on some models.

My Ultra GS has not arrived in the mail yet, but i've seen this odd tremolo on one other Ultra GS, here: https://reverb.com/ca/item/1430920-ovation-ultra-gs-80-s-vintage-ele...

This is definitely a different guitar, so this must have been something installed at the Ovation factory. It does not seem to be any kind of traditional tremolo that i've been able to identify. Is it an original Charles Kaman design maybe? Does anyone have any info about these alternate trems?

I have checked with someone who might know. That may be a FIXED l (read non-Tremolo) copy of a Kahler. I've never seen one on a GS but I have seen similar on the Celebrity solid bodies from that era. Some of the copies were pretty good, and it would have been an easy drop in.
